Multiuse Learning Building

Client: Emanuel School Randwick

Designed by Baker Kavanagh Architects this new multiuse learning facility includes general teaching spaces, art studios, library, gymnasium and a 211-seat performance theatre.

Bordered on 3 sides by the existing school buildings the project required an extensive excavation in sand to create the double storey height performance space.

The upper concrete levels of the building contain 4 general learning classrooms, art studios, library, and gymnasium.

The building links with the adjacent arts centre, library and science buildings via and open courtyard and outdoor learning space.
